Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Prime Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specialized 12-bed tertiary referral center that provides treatment and medical attention to critically ill infants that are in need of complex medical and surgical care. The section is one of Prime Hospital's most exciting and innovative departments, ably staffed with highly specialized physicians, well-trained nurses and a support staff that closely works together to provide world-class medical care to admitted infants and their families.
The NICU is also integrated with one of the best medical equipment in the country. The unit's Level 3 classification demonstrates Prime Hospital NICU's commitment towards advanced healthcare--particularly in the treatment and care of extremely premature, low-birth weighted and critically ill infants.
The unit has been designed and developed to focus on providing much-needed attention to high-risk newborns with multiple medical conditions--through uncompromised attention, a more transparent approach and with utmost care. The hospital's highly skilled and experienced medical specialists in Pediatrics and Neonatology remain steadfast in providing the best level of diagnosis and treatments for every infant they treat, in full compliance with NICU standards and guidelines.
