Dr. Anil Kumar is a Consultant Endocrinologist and a UK General Medical Council-certified CCT in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Medicine. He underwent initial training, both MBBS, and MD (General Medicine), at the prestigious Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, which is one of the top 10 medical institutions in India. After obtaining a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in India, Dr. Anil Kumar worked at some of the best hospitals in the United Kingdom as part of his specialist training before obtaining a specialization in MRCP in Diabetes & Endocrinology). In recognition of his expertise and contributions to medical services, he was conferred with Fellow of Royal College of Physicians (FRCP - London & Edinburgh).
With over 23 years of experience in managing complex medical conditions, Dr. Anil has worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist / Medicine at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, and at the Princess of Wales Hospital, United Kingdom. He was the lead for medicine at the University Hospital of Wales. His passion for medical education earned him the role of RCP tutor to train the doctors at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, Cardiff. Dr. Anil was also an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University Medical school and Aberdeen University in Scotland has published in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences.

Most Memorable Moments:
- He was asked to step into a Clinical Director position as a cover for a senior colleague who was suffering from an illness at the University Hospital of Wales, the UK in the early years of his Consultant life.
- The post was then bestowed on him for the long term, surpassing a lot of senior colleagues given the positive impact he made on team skills.
- He held on to that post until he resigned to work at another exciting job at PRIME Hospital, Al Garhoud Dubai
- His daughter’s birth holds special pride of place in his heart.
Most Challenging Moment:
The volume of patients in Bangalore Medical College hospitals with limited resources during his training years shaped him to be a better doctor to care for his patients with empathy
