Prime Hospital strives to make ongoing contributions to public health by conducting emergency training to support and assist government entities, industry and communities. Life Support Training Center at Prime Hospital is certified by American Heart Association (AHA) International Training Center (ITC) and offers courses in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Airway Management, Pharmacology, Heart saver programs and Family and Friends Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Studies have shown that less than one-third of sudden cardiac arrest victims are administered immediate CPR from bystanders. A strong Chain of Survival can improve chances of survival and recovery for victims of heart attack, stroke and other emergencies. The term Chain of Survival provides a useful metaphor for the elements of the 'Emergency Cardiovascular Care' (ECC) systems concept.
